Resources: Mock Legal Scenarios

Several mock legal scenarios involving Deaf people are provided below. These clips present the scenario from multiple views. The first view is of the Deaf and hearing participants in the legal scenario and can be used as stimulus for interpreting practice. The additional views are of the interpreters facilitating communication during the scenario.

These mock legal scenarios can be used in concert with any of the activity guides found in Legal Interpreting Skill Development.

Sheneman provides an ASL overview of this resource section and how it can be used.
