Recruitment Information
For Instructional Candidates
Instructional facilitator and mentor candidates must be:
- Working interpreters with 6 or more years of interpreting experience in a variety of community settings.
- Available to commit to and complete ~120 hours of hybrid (synchronous/asynchronous) online mentor training (provided at no charge, including CEUs!) from February-May 2022.
- Available for a 2-day in-person instructional team training at UNC in Greeley, CO (tentative dates: June 25-26, 2022). This training will be ready to shift to remote delivery if necessary.
- Available to support ~5-day training events for participants at UNC in Greeley, CO (tentative dates: June 27-July 2, 2022). This training will be ready to shift to remote delivery if necessary.
- Available to facilitate/mentor at least one cohort of participants during Years 1-5 via a hybrid synchronous/asynchronous online delivery system using Canvas, Zoom and GoReact (1.5 year commitment).
Through a competitive process, two cohorts of 10 instructional facilitators and mentors (in Year 1 and Year 3) will be selected to receive ~120 hours of hybrid training at no cost, and may go on to join the paid IRIS instructional team. The instructional team will culminate their development training with a 2-day face-to-face seminar prior to the participant ~5-day training and orientation.
