More Information
Dr. Stephanie Wilson is an adjunct instructor for the Department of Sociology at the
University of Northern Colorado, teaching both Contemporary and Classical Sociological
Theory courses online. She is also an applied sociologist and research consultant
for Applied Worldwide, a Colorado-based LLC co-founded by her and her partner and
fellow sociologist Luke Hanna. As a research consultant, she aims to use her mixed-methodological
training and sociological imagination to improve collaborator’s projects and organizational
practices. In addition to offering research services, Applied Worldwide’s website,
AppliedWorldwide.com, houses a digital open access publication dedicated to enhancing a vision of applied
sociology online and #MakingSociologyCount. Through her work with Applied Worldwide,
Dr. Wilson has connected with and hosted the writing of sociology students and professionals
across the globe who share her passion for using sociology to improve the well-being
of society. While sociological endeavors take up most of her time, Dr. Wilson still
finds time to feed her life-long appreciation for dance by serving on the Board of
Directors for Greeley’s non-profit adult dance company, Colorado Dance Collective.
