Overview Section:

This section will state an overview of this page. The overview is based on themes identified in the 10 School Interpreting Series competencies. 

" " This overview will evolve as OSEP Scholars progress through the SIS courses.


Standards Section:

This section will list the relevant School Interpreting Series competencies for the theme of the page. 

" " The standards will evolve as OSEP Scholars progress through the SIS courses.


In-Page Navigation Section:

This section serves to summarize the contents of the entire page and introduce the artifacts used to demonstrate the Resource Library. It also serves as in-page links to navigate a lengthy page.

For OSEP Scholars continuing on in the SIS Series, you will keep the In-Page Navigation section (the blue strip) as is.

Future resources will be added to the library as you complete the SIS courses.

For ASLEI students going into community settings, you will modify the In-Page Navigation section (the blue strip). You will only have the fours resources which are part of INTR 430 - 1) Adaptation & Accommodatins, 2) Child & Language Development, 3) Deaf Education, and 4) Education.  

You will delete the Future Topic 1 & 2 from this section.


Resource Sections:

These sections will share, explain, and reflection on the resources that support school interpreters, educational professionals, families, and deaf and hard of hearing students.

For OSEP Scholars continuing on in the SIS Series, you will keep the resource sections as is.

Future resources will be added to the library as you complete the SIS courses.

For ASLEI students going into community settings, you will modify the resource sections. You will only have the fours resources which are part of INTR 430 - 1) Adaptation & Accommodatins, 2) Child & Language Development, 3) Deaf Education, and 4) Education.  

You will delete sections Future Topic 1 and Future Topic 2.


Reflection Section:

This section will provide an overarching reflection of one's learning of the presented artifacts and the SIS Competencies.

Reference Section:

This section will list references used throughout the page.

Comment Section:

Comments is the way instructors will provide feedback on your School Interpreting Website.

For each of the Resource Sections - 1) Adaptation & Accommodations, 2) Child & Language Development, 3) Deaf Education, and 4) Education...

Replace placeholding content with:

Add an introductory paragraph summarizing the topic and the contents of the resources selected. 

Add each resource with title and hyperlink. Share the resource's purpose, it's importance, and how the resource is relevant to school interpreters and/or the fields of education and interpreting. 

Add an explanation of what you learned from these resources, how these resources will be used in your future / current work interpreting in schools, and how you better understand the educational system / the school interpreter's position / collaboration iwthin the system. Connect explanation to the associated SIS Competency / Competencies.

Pro Tip: Focus on the artifact as proof of learning; let go of the assignment requirements
