UNC Police
Patrick Gallagher is a proud UNC alum, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in criminology and criminal justice. Patrick began his law enforcement career with the Weld County Sheriff’s Office in 2005. In 2007, Patrick returned to UNC as a patrol officer. Patrick became a detective in the investigations unit in 2010, and promoted to Sergeant in 2012. Patrick was promoted to the rank of Commander in 2022 and commands the operations division of the police department.
Patrick is a veteran of the armed forces and has attended law enforcement leadership trainings such as Leadership in Police Organizations and the FBI Rocky Mountain Chapter’s Command College.
Patrick has enjoyed serving the community though coaching youth sports and serving in his church.
