  • Past Projects Funded by the Friends

    Through the years, the Friends of the UNC Libraries have sponsored a variety of projects:

    • Mari Michener Art Gallery and its predecessor, the Corridor Gallery 
    • Creation of a bronze bust of James A. Michener to celebrate the opening of the James A. Michener Special Collection in October 1998
    • Restoration of Normal School period (1889-1911) antique display cases
    • Reception desk in Archival Services Department
    • Library materials for the Music and former Lab School Libraries
    • In conjunction with the University's centennial celebration in 1989, creation and applique of a quilt highlighting campus landmarks.
    • Creation of a quilted banner for use in the Greeley Independence Stampede parade and University's Homecoming parade.
