Request for Abstracts: CEBS Graduate Research Award for Diversity & Equity 

Purpose: This award recognizes emerging scholars whose research advances diversity, equity, inclusion, and/or social justice in education.

Eligibility: All graduate students currently enrolled at UNC, who will be presenting a poster or oral presentation at the Research Evening are eligible to apply.

Timeline and Awards Process: TBA.

Criteria: This award is designed to recognize graduate student research projects that help to increase diversity awareness and move us towards greater equity and social justice on our campus, within local communities, and within schools and colleges/universities through scholarship and in the preparation of educational leaders. We encourage abstracts for research projects that align with at least one of the five broad goals outlined in the CEBS Diversity & Equity Framework: (1) Recognition of human diversity; (2) Vigilance about personal biases; (3) Culturally responsive pedagogy and curriculum; (4) Inclusiveness; and/or (5) Advocacy.

Submission Instructions: Submit a 150 to 200-word abstract describing how your research advances new dimensions of diversity, equity, inclusion, and/or social justice in education.
