Hi there! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has worked in and studied disability since I was an undergraduate student at the University of South Dakota, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2013. There I conducted research and wrote my honors thesis on university students’ attitudes toward people with disabilities, intending to bring attention to stigma and areas for societal growth around the perception of disability. I came to the Disability Resource Center in 2014 as a graduate assistant studying clinical mental health counseling. I enthusiastically returned full time in 2020 to use my mental health background to support students with disabilities at UNC. I have a passion for disability as an aspect of diversity and equity and finding ways to meet disabled folx at the intersections of all their identities.
