Hello! My name is Bernadette (Bernie) Wiemers. Since moving from a tiny town in Eastern Colorado in 2015, I have set down roots here with my husband, and Golden Retriever, Libby; and we have made Greeley home! I am a graduate and proud Bear from the University of Northern Colorado. I received my bachelor’s degree in Human Services in 2019 and my master’s degree in Public Health in 2021. During my time in graduate school, I worked as a graduate assistant Human Services department at UNC where I aided in teaching several sections of Program Planning. Before joining the DRC team in 2022, I worked as a Disease Intervention Specialist for Larimer County on a COVID suppression team where I worked on providing education on disease prevention. I am so happy to be back at UNC working with fellow Bears to aid in providing equal access to education to folx with disabilities!
