Education & Training

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After a brief 2-year position working in a substance use research clinic at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, I moved to Colorado for my PhD in counseling psychology. Currently, I have completed my non-termination master's degree in counseling psychology from Colorado State University and am working towards my PhD. During my time in graduate school I have worked in university counseling centers, a community mental health clinic, and an adolescent inpatient unit.

Current Roles

As an advanced practicum student at the counseling center, I offer individual, couples and group psychotherapy. I also help with drop-in appointments.

Therapeutic Approaches

I use an integrative approach of several evidence-based modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic, interpersonal process therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and acceptance and commitment Therapy. I enjoying meeting my clients where they are at, using tools that make sense to them, instilling hope for change, and encouraging them to grow.

Clinical Interests

About Me

I enjoy spending time with my family (husband, 2 cats, and puppy). We particularly love camping, off-roading, fishing, mountain biking and disc golfing. When I'm not with my family, I love writing, producing, and playing music with my main instrument being guitar. I hope to get back into being in a band after I graduate.
