He/His/él
I earned a bachelor’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Colorado Mesa University in beautiful Grand Junction and earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling here at UNC. Go Bears!
I provide individual counseling and assist with IP group counseling.
As a therapist, I strive to be genuine, empathetic, approachable, and present. I aim to create a safe space for client to work in, a space where clients feel comfortable being their authentic selves and have an opportunity to heal and grow. I take a person-centered, interpersonal approach and work to integrate mindfulness and other contemplative practices.
While I was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, I’ve lived in Colorado for almost 20 years. I enjoy camping, snowboarding, going to Rockies games, watching college football, playing FIFA, making breakfast, cleaning, and listening to podcasts, but most of all I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog Oden. I consider myself a wannabe philosopher and a student of eastern religions. The teachings of Ram Dass and Neem Karoli Baba have left an indelible mark on my life and I do my best to carry on a daily mindfulness practice. Be Here Now.
