SASSI 2021 at UNK
Coming in March 2021, SASSI at the University of Nebraska at Kearney
Located on Interstate 80 in the center of Nebraska, UNK is easily accessible by car, and with decent airline connections. There are daily flights to and from Denver and Chicago from the Kearney Regional Airport; the Grand Island Central Nebraska Regional Airport (about 45 miles to the east) also offers flights to and from Phoenix, Las Vegas, Dallas, and Orlando. There are several local attractions to recommend us for a future conference. Please visit our homepage.
The Historic Frank House Museum: (An 1889 mansion on the campus and maintained by the university)
The Museum of Nebraska Art (MONA): (With eleven galleries and almost 6,000 works housed
in its permanent collection,
MONA also offers changing displays and hosts a number of educational activities)
The Rowe Sanctuary and the Sandhill Cranes: (Peak viewing of this annual and ancient
natural wonder
occurs during the month of March, the same month SASSI will be held)
The Great Platte River Archway Museum: (An impressive and historic journey through the past)
We are hopeful that we will be able to continue the tradition of this stimulating and collegial conference when it was hosted by UNC (and before as SISSI). Look for a “Call for Papers” with the theme for the conference, and we hope to see you in 2021!
