Rick McNair, with his 33 years of comprehensive law enforcement experience within the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, was hired as Captain for the University of Northern Colorado Police Department early September 2019.
McNair’s previous positions range from deputy to Acting Division Chief of Administrative Services. As Commander, he supervised the following divisions: Professional Standards Division, Training Unit Division, Jail Division, Patrol Division and Director of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office Academy FLATROCK Regional Training Center. He contributed to every division within the agency and was a SWAT team member for 10 years. He also served as Subject Matter Expert with POST curriculum. He retired from ACSO as a Captain.
Rick McNair is a graduate of Northwestern Police Staff and Command School and the FBI National Academy in Quantico Virginia. He was elected by his peers to be the President of the FBINAA Rocky Mountain Chapter in 2020.
McNair enjoys serving his church, family and community.
