About Nutrition and Dietetics
Academic programs in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics prepare students to meet the changing needs of society and industry in food and nutrition. You'll develop a sound knowledge base in science and acquitted professional skills that will prepare you to work with the nutritional needs of populations of all ages. You'll study physiological, biological and behavioral sciences to provide the foundation for a wide range of studies applicable to the community, clinical, private practice and management aspects of nutrition in health care.
Our Mission
The mission of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics is to provide strong curriculum and educational opportunities that prepare confident life-long learners in disciplines of food, nutrition and dietetics. The Department fosters diverse leaders through on-campus and online offerings and community engagement to broaden perspectives of program graduates, promote evidence-based practice and collaboration across disciplines and cultures.
