UNC Trustees to Hold Special Meeting April 16
April 13, 2018
The University of Northern Colorado Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting to discuss budget and financial matters 1:00-3:30 p.m. Monday, April 16, in the Panorama Room at the University Center, 2101 10th Ave.
As a follow-up to the Board’s March 1 and 2 working session and meeting, trustees will discuss discounting, cash reserves and work underway to minimize deficit spending in fiscal year 2018-19. The meeting will include an overview of information shared at the March 1 working session because several trustees were unable to attend. It will also include an update on recent budget discussions with campus groups and their feedback on potential short-term cost-saving measures.
Work on the 2018-19 budget is ongoing and no recommendations will be made at the April 16 meeting. Initial budget recommendations will be discussed at the Board’s May 9 Finance and Audit Committee meeting (after consultation with presidential finalist Andy Feinstein), and the board will take action on the budget at its regular meeting on June 15.
