Specialist in brass music, conducting and American concert music, especially the music of Charles Ives. Directs the UNC Wind Ensemble and Concert Band and conductor of Denver Brass, a professional brass ensemble. An avid transcriber of brass music (more than 1,000 titles) and music editor for Charles Ives Society, Singleton has some 60 publications to his credit. His editions have been recorded by the Chicago Symphony, St. Louis Symphony, Concertgebouw Orchestra and Cleveland Orchestra.
