Nine students from the University of Northern Colorado’s Monfort College of Business were selected by their faculty to attend a recent marketing conference in Boston.
HubSpot’s Inbound 2019 conference covered topics such as entrepreneurship, digital marketing, new technology and drew 26,000 participants, including UNC students: Sydney Aeschlimann, Hallie Bunker, Madison Gabel, Halaki Gionet, Kaitlyn Garcia, Samantha Sankey, Zoe Svedlow, Harrison Trafas and Maia Taketa. Marketing Professor and Chair Denny McCorkle, D.B.A., accompanied the group. MCB and the Monfort Foundation sponsored the trip.
“A huge thank you to the Monfort College of Business for the awesome opportunity to attend the INBOUND conference,” Aeschlimann said. “Now back in Colorado and reflecting on the trip, I realize how great of a learning experience it has been.”
Students spoke of networking with expert marketing professionals and learning about exciting new trends.
“Knowing what I know now, my understanding of the industry and how easy it is to make mistakes puts me well above the competition in the workforce,” Bunker said. “This opportunity showed me what I can be while giving me the knowledge of where to go, what not to do and how no one can do anything alone.”
