Gear up for Giving Bearnanza

Help a fellow Bear and support a campus cause that’s close to your heart during Giving Bearnanza – a week full of philanthropy that kicks off with Bear Tuesday on Tuesday, December 3rd.

It's officially the giving season, and what better way to celebrate than supporting a fellow Bear during Bearnanza? 

Bearnanza is a week full of philanthropy that kicks off with Bear Tuesday on December 3 and runs through Colorado Gives Day on Tuesday, December 10. 

It's the perfect opportunity to support any of these campus causes or an area close to your heart! 

  • Bear Pantry

    The Bear Pantry is a collaborative initiative on campus to assist students in our community who are faced with food insecurity. Having a food pantry on the UNC campus ensures that all students in our community have the resources they need.

    Your gift to the Bear Food Pantry Fund will be used to stock food and supplies for students in need as well as for other general Bear Pantry operating expenses.

  • Allen McConnell Endowed Chair

    The Allen McConnell Endowed Chair in Accounting provides enormous support for the recruitment and retention of high caliber faculty for the Accounting Department in the Monfort School of Business. This endowment is vital to the future success of the UNC Accounting Department as it helps recruit and retain top faculty members like the inaugural chair, Shawn Tebben.

  • UNC Cancer Rehabilitation Institute 

    The University of Northern Colorado Cancer Rehabilitation Institute (UNCCRI) was established in 1996 by Dr. Carole Schneider to investigate the role exercise plays in the rehabilitation of cancer survivors. The Institute is the only facility of its kind and is recognized as a front runner in exercise-based cancer rehabilitation.

  • Marcus Garvey Cultural Center

    The Marcus Garvey Cultural Center was established in 1983 in response to the unique needs of students who identified as Black and/or African American. As a Center focused on advocacy, the MGCC staff seek to create a space where students of color and historically marginalized groups feel connected to UNC and empowered throughout their collegiate experience.

  • UNC Galleries

    The UNC Galleries are a teaching program of the School of Art and Design that employ an ambitious exhibition and Visiting Artist Program to signal UNC’s core mission to promote student-centered, effective learning. The Galleries’ core mission cultivates learning, celebrates artistic excellence, and inspires a lifelong involvement in art and design for our students.

    Your gift is directed to the UNC Galleries Fund to support projects like "The Yucca Fountain," which advance the Galleries' core mission. 

  • Cumbres Teacher Preparation Program

    The Cumbres Teacher Preparation program is an inclusive learning community and scholarship program designed to support education majors who want to be English as a Second Language teachers. The program encourages them to bond as a cohort, support each other emotionally and academically, and develop leadership skills that will help them be compassionate teachers of English Language Learners in K-12 education.

  • eSports Club

    The eSports Club will be entering their second year as a Club Sport after previously being a Student Recognized Organization. The competitive video gaming club is quickly growing and participates in structured competitions with other colleges and universities around the nation.
