For those working on a free textbook or an open educational resource (OER) for a course they're teaching, the CDHE with the Colorado OER Council are offering spaces on Pressbooks publishing platform for OER works created by Colorado educators. Pressbooks is an open access publishing platform widely used by the open education community to adapt, create and publish OER.
This is a value of between $120 and $400 annually per title. Publishing on Pressbooks will bring free textbook or OER to the notice of many and it is an excellent platform for solo and group authorship. Those awarded a Pressbooks space will have the support of UNC’s Scholarly Publishing Librarian to work in Pressbooks.
