The Weld Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry will return to UNC on Tuesday, March 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Mobile Pantry supports UNC community members (students and employees) by bringing free, healthy, fresh foods (e.g., fruits, vegetables, meat) to those in need of food assistance.
The Mobile Pantry will again be located in the southeast corner of C lot, across from the Campus Commons. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bags or boxes to the event, but a supply of bags will be available. For community members parking near the Mobile Pantry in C lot during its hours of operation, parking permits are not required. The Bear Pantry will be closed from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on March 19 so staff can support the Mobile Pantry. The pantry will reopen from 5-6:30 p.m. that day for normal operations.
The Bear Pantry needs volunteers for both the March 19 and April 9 mobile food pantry events. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to work shifts from 11 a.m. to noon, or noon to 1 p.m.
If anyone has extra grocery bags, they are encouraged to bring them to the Student Affairs Welcome Desk on the second floor of the University Center.
