Department Activities
World Language Day
For the past 50 years, UNC has been the proud sponsor of one of the largest and longest running World Language Days in the nation. This event is held each Spring at our University Center and is attended by more than 1000 students and teachers from all over Colorado and Wyoming. Our goal is to provide high school students with a unique opportunity to experience world languages and cultures beyond a classroom setting in a fun and educational environment.
Publications
World Languages and Cultures features a variety of publications, including CADENCIAS, Hispanic Studies’s student literary and arts magazine that is published online annually, Las Nuevas Voces de UNC, a student newspaper that operates within the SPAN 302 class and focuses on topics relevant to the university and the broader UNC community, and Confluencia, a scholarly journal which publishes articles and notes in Spanish and English that moved to Colorado State University in Fall 2020.
