About Carla
Hello, my name is Carla Nagy - Vargas. My family emigrated from Caracas, Venezuela
to the U.S at the age of five. Although we moved around to different states in those
early years, I consider Greeley to be my home for the last 21 years. I graduated from
Greeley West High School and later from UNC where I studied Spanish Literature and
Human Communications. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends,
reading and most importantly, eating good food from different cultures! I am happy
to be back at my alma mater, now as a staff member, within the Division of Diversity,
Equity & Inclusion.
Hola, mi nombre es Carla Nagy - Vargas. Mi familia emigró de Caracas, Venezuela a
los Estados Unidos cuando tenía cinco años de edad. Aunque nos mudamos a diferentes
estados en esos primeros años, considero que Greeley ha sido mi hogar durante los
últimos 21 años. Me gradué de Greeley West High School y luego de UNC donde estudié
Literatura en Español y Comunicaciones Humanas. En mi tiempo libre, disfruto pasar
tiempo con mi familia y amigos, leer y, lo más importante, comer buena comida de diferentes
culturas. Estoy contenta de estar de regreso en mi alma mater, ahora como miembro
del personal, dentro de la División de Diversidad, Equidad e Inclusión.
