DEI stands for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and this campaign aims to raise awareness about the incredible work and initiatives happening on our campus. Through engaging content and powerful stories, we will showcase the meaningful impact of DEI efforts on our students, faculty, staff and community.

Our Purpose:

Why Get Involved?
We invite every member of the UNC community to participate in the "I am DEI" campaign
and become ambassadors for change. Your involvement will not only contribute to a
more inclusive campus, but will also help build lasting connections and friendships
across diverse backgrounds. Together, we can strengthen our commitment to DEI and
create a university experience that empowers and uplifts all.
Video Series: Produce a series of short documentary-style videos that feature personal stories of students, faculty, and staff who have experienced the transformative power of DEI initiatives at UNC. These videos will showcase the richness of our diverse community and how DEI has positively impacted their lives.
Social Media Campaign: Launch an engaging social media campaign with the hashtag #IAmDEI, encouraging students, faculty, staff and alumni to share their experiences and support for DEI initiatives. This campaign will spread awareness beyond the campus borders and amplify the message of inclusion.
The UNITE series gives the UNC community the opportunity to begin or continue conversations in relation to diversity, equity and inclusion across a broad range of identities. Campus community members can learn how they can engage with the UNITE program by checking out the Faculty/Staff and Student workshops.
