Construction continues on UNC's signature new project, the Campus Commons. Join Lyndsey Crum '05, UNC's assistant vice president for alumni relations, as she walks through the progress and purpose of the new facility.
Campus Commons is scheduled to open during the 2018-2019 academic year. Once open, the facility will serve three primary functions:
- Welcome center for prospective students, alumni and community guests
- Integrated student services that will include a one stop center called GPS+, Center for Career Readiness and international education, among others
- State of the art performing and visual arts space and venues
The Campus Commons is the cornerstone of the Campaign for UNC. As such, UNC's development and alumni relations staff have been busy promoting the project to prospective donors, providing exclusive hard hat tours, and sharing news and updates from the construction site.
