Social Media and Outreach Assistant
Skills and traits:

Responsibilities/Duties:
- Develop promotional campaigns for U-Engage and Honors programs and activities
- Create Social Media posts to promote U-Engage programs and activities
- Create digital flyers to post on monitors around campus
- Set up a schedule for posting social media posts
- Regularly analyze the social media responses and activity to revise and revamp posting
schedules
- Monitor and respond to social media and Honors email accounts
- Work on teams to develop programming for U-Engage and Honors students
- Assist with events and programs
Honors Program Assistant
- Highly organized - need to be able to create new organization systems
- Detail oriented - ability to proof read and catch errors
- Project oriented

OUR Assistant

Responsibilities/Duties:
- Assist with event organization for Fall Symposium, Student Showcase for Artists and Scholars, OUR Workshops
- Communicate with research program and conference participants through email and occasionally phone calls or texts.
- Coordinate travel for National Conference for Undergraduate Research (NCUR) participants, potentially including booking or tracking hotel rooms, rental cars, shuttles, and organizing travel documents.
- Create and maintain multiple tracking spreadsheets of participants in OUR activities.
- Create reports at the end of each semester with the participant counts and overall success and outcomes from OUR programs.
- Participate in data collection, analysis, and reporting of findings
- Participate and collaborate in meetings to develop new or revised programs, activities, and workshops.
- Assist with other tasks in the U-Engage
Marketing and Graphic Design Assistant
Skills/traits for this position:
- Strong skill level with graphic design, multi-media and publishing software –such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Publisher, Canva etc.
- Strong level of creativity
- Detail oriented – ability to proof-read and catch errors
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and understand priorities
- Self-directed – ability to initiate own tasks
- Comfort level with Macintosh systems
- Strong level of professionalism as demonstrated through verbal and written communication.
Job Duties:
- Create flyers and other promotional pieces for HSL programs and initiatives
- Maintain own schedule, handle multiple priorities
- Work with UNC Publications for more formal publications
- Submit work to printer and monitor print jobs
- Design and layout reports, handbooks, and other projects
- Establishing and maintaining a photo archive
- Creating video and multi-media promotions for the Center
- Distribution of written communications including press releases, announcements, promotional materials via various channels including e-mail, UNC Calendar, UNC Today, and Facebook.
- Assist with HSL special events coordination
- Assist with other tasks in the Division
