Graduate Assistant of Veterans Services
Claire is currently in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling master’s program at UNC. She received her bachelor’s degree from UNC with a major in psychology and minors in biology and nutrition.
Claire was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved to Greeley, Colorado in 2019 to pursue a bachelor’s degree. During her undergraduate degree, she worked with the Office of Undergraduate Academic Engagement as a Research Assistant and the Office of Admissions as a Student Ambassador. She completed both the Honors Interdisciplinary Program and the Upper Division Honors Program. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and minors in biology and nutrition. She has also interned at the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI), Sexual Assault Victim Advocate (SAVA) center, and a mental health therapy private practice.
As the Associate Director of Veterans Services, she is the advisor for the SALUTE National Honors Society and a secondary advisor for Student Veterans of America (SVA). She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to become a License Professional Counselor (LPC).
Claire has a history of researching social media and body image, mHealth interventions, recidivism; and math anxiety. Currently her interests align with increasing mental health for the military-connected community and exploring the intersectionality within the military community and the general UNCO population.
She is particularly passionate about assisting the military-connected community in pursuing a graduate degree and can support with any steps students need.
