• Norton attended 78 commencement ceremonies.
• More than 40,000 students graduated (there are 149,436 alumni to date).
• UNC collectively gained $20.2 million in state funding and lost $25.4 million, ending up at $39.6 million in 2018.
• The percentage of women university presidents went from 21 percent to 30 percent.
• The editor of UNC’s student newspaper, The Mirror, worked his way up to the editor of the Greeley Tribune.
