She/Her/Hers
Emmy Scott was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona but fell in love with Colorado when she came for an All-star cheer competition in high school hosted in Loveland. Emmy is now a double major undergrad in environmental studies and business management, with a minor in communications. Since her sophomore year she has served on the LEAF committee as the grant coordinator. Her overall career goal is to become an environmental consultant for small and large firms. She’d like to flip the world of business on its’ head by helping existing corporations convert to sustainable, as well as ethical, business practices! She believes business can save money and the earth at the same time with a triple bottom line. She is also the president of another UNC club called Earth Guardians. Earth Guardians is a global organization of environmental activist; her chapter at UNC plans educational/exciting events on campus, and within the community, to raise awareness of environmental injustices. Lastly, she is actively involved in the cultural organizations on campus, including, but not limited to, the Black Student Union and African Students United. You might catch Emmy on campus hand-feeding the squirrels tree nuts (even though she knows she shouldn’t), bumping some tunes, or at an event rallying for ethical change. Regardless, feel free to approach her with any questions or concerns about the clubs/environment - or to say hi!
