Biography

It is with much enthusiasm that I serve as one of the Soar Success Coaches and Academic Advisors here at the University of Northern Colorado (UNC). I was born and raised in northern Colorado, and I am a proud first-generation college student and alumna of Colorado State’s Trio-Educational Talent Search program. I graduated from Colorado State University (CSU) with a B.S. in Biological Science with a concentration in Anatomy and Physiology. While at CSU, I found my passion for working with students as a Tutor/Counselor for the Trio Upward Bound program. Following graduation, I had the privilege of working with amazing students with the Greeley Dream Team’s Educational Talent Search program for almost 13 years in the capacity of Academic Advisor and, for most of my time here, as the Assistant Director of Educational Talent Search. After assisting students in the pre-collegiate area, I was eager to continue to be a support for students, but at the higher education level. In 2017, I was blessed with the opportunity to become a Success Coach and Advisor here at UNC. I truly enjoy serving our Soar students, getting the chance to get to know each of them, and playing a part in their educational journey. Outside of UNC, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, our twins, and our little dog Bella. Go BEARS!
