Available in either an on-campus or online format, our Speech-Language Pathology master’s degree program offers superior opportunities for clinical training, professional mentoring and skill development in evidence-based practice (EBP). You’ll work alongside experienced practitioners in the UNC Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Clinic, gaining extensive hands-on experience in a busy, full-service campus-based clinic, as well as at off-campus affiliated sites. You’ll also develop expertise in clinical research design, data analysis and scientific writing.

M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology (on campus)

UNC’s fully accredited program stands out for its strong foundation in EBP. Our clinician-researcher model helps you develop comprehensive skills that can propel you to a wide range of career specializations, including clinical practice serving children and/or adults, across a multitude of settings. The full-time two-year program which uses a cohort model is approved by the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE), so students from throughout the 15-state WICHE region can pay in-state tuition.

Upon completion of the Speech-Language Pathology master’s, you’ll be eligible to earn the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology as well as professional licensure granted by the Colorado Department of Education and/or Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.

M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology (online)

Through our fully accredited online Speech-Language Pathology master’s, you’ll be eligible to earn the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology professional licensure granted by the Colorado Department of Education and Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies. The ideal student for this program is an SLPA (or the equivalent) working in the public school system.
