Fellow Bears,

I write to invite you to participate in one of the upcoming town hall discussions on priorities for the next phase of our Rowing, Not Drifting 2030 strategic plan. At each session, Provost and Executive Vice President Kirsty Fleming and I will share an update on progress made in the second phase and seek your input on priorities for the next two years. This is your opportunity to help shape the tactics to be incorporated into Phase III of the plan, which will begin July 1.

I hope you will join us at the in-person session:

Our ten-year strategic plan was developed following extensive engagement with university stakeholders, and over the past four years, it has served as our collective guide to UNC’s future. As we prepare to enter the next two-year phase of implementation, it is imperative that we again coalesce around shared priorities. As we conclude Phase II and look ahead to Phase III, we have an opportunity to reflect on what we have accomplished and ensure that we are positioning UNC to continue to make steady progress toward realizing our vision and outcomes for 2030.

Your ideas on how we can continue to advance our shared strategic priorities are important. We will use the feedback from the university community to inform our work together for the next two years. I hope to see you for one of the town hall discussions next week.

Rowing, Not Drifting,

  Andy Feinstein.
