Educator Development

Projects in this area include funded endeavors to support current and future STEM K-12 teachers, college faculty, and the delivery of graduate-level courses through the UNC's Office of Extended Studies.

Pre-Collegiate

These projects consists of a mixture of grant-funded programs and foundation-supported endeavors that impact K-12 students.

The MAST Institute may be best known for its K-12 outreach, due in part to the success of the MAST Hotline and the Longs Peak Science Fair (LPSEF).

Research

The MAST Institute  takes its mission seriously to create scholarly works in the science and mathematics education areas. Supported by federal research grants, this is a major avenue for allowing the MAST Institute to grow in the future.
