Mona Hebeshy

Professional/Academic Experience

I was born and raised in Egypt; I earned my BSN and MSN from Suez Canal University, Egypt, and a Ph.D. in Nursing from Kent State University, Ohio, USA. I have more than 16 years of academic experience. I enjoy research-specifically research that is useful for improving outcomes of critically ill patients in both ICU and long-term acute care settings. Palliative care is another area of my research interest. My research focuses on enhancing the quality of life of very ill individuals, their families, and healthcare providers and how to connect them through innovative communication approaches during these challenging times. 

I enjoy cooking, reading, and spending time with my family. I've lived in Indiana, Ohio, and Arkansas, and I am excited to start a new chapter of my life in Colorado.
