Professional/Academic Experience

I am very excited to be joining the KiND department as an Assistant Professor of Nutrition and Dietetics. I received my PhD in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences in 2023 from The Ohio State University College of Medicine where I also completed two interdisciplinary specializations in obesity sciences as well as biomedical, clinical, and translational science. I completed my dietetic internship at Ohio State in 2019, and I am a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN). My research focuses on the complex relationships between lifestyle factors and cardiometabolic health outcomes, with a particular focus on dietary patterns in real-world context. First, I conduct large, nationally representative analyses using NHANES data, and then I translate my findings into practice to improve primary care healthcare delivery and population health. Although I just moved here from Ohio, I am originally from western Massachusetts and have lived in MA, VT, PA, NY, OH, and now CO. I am excited to explore the area and take advantage of the great bike trails, parks, and lakes with my red tri-colored Australian shepherd, Stanley.
