Mentor A Scholar

The University of Northern Colorado's Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program offers valuable mentorship opportunities for faculty, postdoctoral students, and graduate students to support undergraduate Scholars in their academic and personal growth. Mentors play a crucial role in guiding Scholars towards graduate school and future academic success.

As a mentor there are several ways to engage with Scholars and contribute to their development:

    • Provide one-on-one guidance and support throughout the Scholar's academic journey.
    • Share insights and experiences about graduate-level studies and academic career paths.
    • Assist Scholars in developing research skills and preparing for graduate school applications.

By participating in the program, mentors can help Scholars build connections within academia and gain valuable insights into graduate-level studies. This mentorship experience not only benefits the Scholars but also provides rewarding opportunities for faculty, postdoctoral students, and graduate students to contribute to the next generation of researchers and scholars.
