Professional/Academic Experience
Hi! My name is Olivia Bobbitt. This is my last year of my bachelor’s degree in Sociology
with minors in Africana Studies & Psychology. I graduate in December of 2020. I plan
to continue my education in graduate school and doctoral school for Developmental
Psychology. I aspire to be a Developmental Psychologist that works with infants &
toddlers. My academic goal is to finish this school year with good grades and a greater
understanding for research. Something unique about me is that I am a very optimistic
person. I do my best to find the good in everything and everyone. I also identify
as a first-generation student. Being first gen. is difficult sometimes, but I learned
to push through the hard times and do my best in everything I am part of. Over the
past 3 years I have had many achievements I am proud of. Since 2017 to current I have
been on the Dean’s List. I was rewarded for being an outstanding scholar through the
Sociology Department. I am a proud Reisher Scholar and McNair Scholar. I am also a
member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated and Center of Human Enrichment.
