Mary Behling memorabilia: A collection of athletic memorabilia from Mary Alice Behling acquired during her
nearly 30-year career at the University of Northern Colorado (UNC). Mary Behling received
her master's degree from Colorado State College (CSC, now UNC) in health and physical
education in the summer of 1958. After two years at the University of Oklahoma Behling
returned to CSC as an assistant professor of physical education and remained for 29
years, serving in various positions. She was named faculty emeritus after her retirement
in 1988. The collection contains a variety of athletic memorabilia including fencing
foils, a field hockey stick, a diving scoreboard, and a set of dumbbells.

Hazel E. Johnson Collection: Hazel E. Johnson was an active member of the Greeley and Weld County community for over 60 years and a collector and writer of history. She wrote over 1000 newspaper articles about the history of Greeley and Weld County for various publications. Her "Out of the Past" column was featured in The Greeley Journal for 20 years. In 1989 Hazel E. Johnson established an annual history award at the University of Northern Colorado for the "Best Paper on Colorado History."
The collection, given to the university during their centennial celebration in 1989,
contains material relating to the history of the University of Northern Colorado,
including photographs, negatives, newspaper clippings, correspondence, and Cranford
Hall slide show with a script.
