Dr. Sanjeev Choudhary is an experienced leader in medical education, bringing over 20 years of expertise in both MD and DO programs. As Associate Dean of Preclinical Education at UNC College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNC COM), Dr. Choudhary is committed to improving healthcare access in underserved and rural areas.
Having served as the founding Department Chair at Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (SHSU-COM), Dr. Choudhary played a key role in curricular development, faculty and staff hiring, and implementing effective team-building strategies. His deep understanding of active learning methodologies, such as Problem-Based and Team-Based Learning, has fostered innovative educational practices.
Dr. Choudhary holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and has extensive experience securing research funding and leading successful academic initiatives. His participation in the American Council on Education (ACE) Fellowship further sharpened his leadership skills in university administration, accreditation, and strategic program development.
With a strong background in academic leadership, curriculum design and assessment, and fostering collaborative environments, Dr. Choudhary is dedicated to advancing the mission of UNC COM, promoting excellence in medical education and addressing healthcare inequities.
