About

Clinical Psychology doctoral student affiliated with Ponce Health Sciences University (PHSU), with a master’s degree in sciences and a specialization in Clinical Psychology in 2022. My professional background encompasses diverse clinical experiences, including serving as an ABA therapist for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Cognitive Impairments, and Developmental Disabilities. Additionally, I have worked as a Case Manager and Counselor II providing support to children, teenagers, and young adults facing challenges such as conduct problems, trauma, developmental and mood disorders, homelessness, eating disorders, and survivors of sexual abuse. My psychology expertise extends to utilizing psychological treatment models like Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to address conduct disorders, mood disorders, somatic symptoms, and trauma. More recently, my doctoral program has afforded me opportunities to conduct interviews, diagnose, and treat a range of conditions, including developmental disorders, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, personality disorders, and psychotic disorders. Furthermore, I am skilled in the administration of various assessments, including thorough interviews, as well as psychometric, socio-emotional, cognitive, neurocognitive, and personality assessment/evaluations, catering to both child and adult populations.
