Slushed is a new concept idea that offers customers boozy slushies, food and a good time. Just across the street from campus, the new drink shop is sure to be a springtime hit.
Slushed opened its doors on February 18, and it’s ready to serve up some slushies to students. Located on the corner of Eighth Ave and 17th St., the shop is a Vegas-inspired drink destination for all ages. Slushed offers customers a sin-city-like experience with their club-like atmosphere, endless flavor combinations and disco ball cups and yardsticks.
While drinks are the company’s specialty, that is not the only item that they sell. Slushed offers multiple food options like wings, fries and paninis. While they do offer alcohol options to add to their slushies, they also offer other drinks like beer and wine.
Aside from the food and drink options, Slushed also hosts numerous events throughout the week. The drink bar hosted a ladies night on Tuesday as well as a Sunday scaries event with drink and food specials. Slushed will be streaming sporting games, as well as hosting a March Madness contest, with details being announced soon.
Slushed is still new to the Greeley community, but the staff has big ideas for what’s to come. Siera Brightharding, a manager at Slushed, mentioned some of the ideas that could be coming soon.
“We’re kind of on the fly since we just opened, but we have lots of ideas. We’re thinking of doing a Hawaiian theme, a country theme with line dancing and have it playing on our screen,” Brightharding said.
Slushed is open to all ages during the day, but is 21 and up after 8 p.m.
The drink spot is still settling in, but you can keep updated on all the latest events on their Instagram page @Slushed_Greeley or on Facebook @Slushed.
