The Rock Found is an organization that provides resources, information, and services to previously incarcerated individuals, helping them reintegrate into society and reduce the likelihood of recidivism.

Program manager, Amanda Lucas, assists case managers in helping clients achieve stability and self-sufficiency. The Rock Found provides basic needs such as food, shelter, and clothing and then works with clients one-on-one to secure full-time employment that pays well. The organization also provides transportation, boots, and other resources that clients need to succeed.

Amanda explains that The Rock Found relies heavily on donations from individuals and organizations to provide client resources. The organization also receives funding from the WAGEES grant (Work And Gain Education & Employment Skills), which allows them to purchase necessary items from stores like Walmart.

The Rock Found is the only reentry center in Greeley and Weld County, with a high enrollment rate. Despite the high numbers, Amanda and her team manage their caseloads by splitting them among the case managers.

The clients’ success stories make Amanda passionate about her job. She is thrilled when clients achieve self-sufficiency and become community members. The Rock Found also has three transitional houses, including a nine-month program for women to work on specific goals before transitioning to their housing.

Jose Zubia, a client of The Rock Found, has successfully reintegrated into society. The organization provided Jose with a list of employers that hire individuals with a felony background, purchased the necessary clothing, boots, and transportation, and helped him get his driver’s license. The Rock Found support allowed Jose to secure full-time employment and become self-sufficient.

Overall, The Rock Found is essential in helping previously incarcerated individuals achieve self-sufficiency and reduce recidivism rates. Amanda Lucas and her team provide their clients with the necessary resources and support to succeed in their new world.
