Northern Colorado has officially opened a Cat Café, which is owned by Christopher Sanford and his wife Kimberly Sanford. The NOCO Cat Café is creating a laid-back space for visiting customers.

A Cat Café is just like a traditional café, with the noted exception that kittens and cats live there twenty-four seven. The cats are healthy, spayed or neutered, and vaccinated.

While customers enjoy their coffee, they are able to play with the cats, and even adopt them. Cat Cafés are generally partnered with local nonprofits to help homeless cats find their forever home. The café provides an interactive experience for potential adopters and animal lovers alike.

“So, we opened August 29 at the end of last year and we had 177 cats adopted so far in the café,” Sanford said. “And we have seven pending adoptions right now.”

There is a $12 admission fee per person.
