Indie supergroup Boygenius released three new singles January 18th. The group has not released music together since 2018 with their EP titled “Boygenius.”
The indie rock group is composed of Lucy Dacus, Phoebe Bridgers, and Julian Baker.
The story of Boygenius is one of chance and friendship. The three had been friends before learning that they would be touring together. Once they learned that they would be touring together, they decided to make a promotional single. That single turned into six songs.
Fans had speculated that the group had some new music in store after Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival revealed Boygenius on its lineup.
A Rolling Stone article also revealed that Bridgers was the one to initiate the reunion in 2020 after the release of her sophomore album, “Punisher.”
The new Boygenius album, “The Record,” is slated for release on March 31st with 12 tracks as follows.
