A new face has joined the University of Northern Colorado’s management.

On December 16, Colorado Governor Jared Polis appointed Gregory Anton to the university’s Board of Trustees.

Anton graduated from UNC in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and has over 30 years of experience as a certified public accountant.

Anton is a founding partner of ACM LLP, a certified public accounting firm. He has also served as the chairman for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, where he was awarded the Gold Member Award for Distinguished Service – the institute’s highest honor – in 2015.

The new Trustee also has extensive experience with charitable organizations, serving as a board member for both Junior Achievement and Wish for Wheels, and is a founding member of the Executives Partnering to Invest in Children program.

Aside from his status as an alum, Anton has a storied history with UNC.

He is currently the Dean of UNC’s Leadership Advisory Council, and is a former member and chair of the Kenneth W. Monfort College of Business School of Accountancy Advisory Board.

Appointment of Anton, as well as the reappointment of current Trustee Steve Jordan, is pending conformation by the Colorado General Assembly. Both appointee’s terms run through 2027.
