The annual Greeley Stampede is set to return to Island Grove Regional Park this summer. The 12-day event will run from June 22nd to July 4th and promises a range of activities for families, including the Kids Corral, which offers free face painting, a petting zoo, and a sheep stampede where little cowboys and cowgirls can try an eight-second sheep ride. The Stampede also offers four adult rodeos, including the PRCA Pro Rodeo Series, Xtreme Bulls, American Bullfighting, and the Heritage of Mexican Bullfighting, including events such as steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc, tie-down roping, breakaway roping, and bull riding.

Space for the Stampede’s popular Mutton Bustin’ sheep-riding event is limited and children aged four to seven must register by May 19 for the chance to participate. The Stampede Demolition Derby is an annual favorite at the event as well.

Tickets for the Demolition Derby range from $20 to $35 and tickets for other Stampede events can be purchased online at the official Greeley Stampede website. The Davis Hometown Strong Initiative, which offers scholarships and grants to those pursuing higher education, is a key focus of the Stampede Foundation. A total of $100,000 in collective scholarships were awarded in 2022, with funds raised through the Western Art Show Golf Tournament, the opening night gala, and the Big Buckle Ball.

The Stampede Carnival features a wide selection of rides, including kiddy land for children and faster rides such as the super shot and paragliders for older visitors. Seasonal carnival wristbands can be purchased for $100 or single-day wristbands for $40. Parades at the Stampede are also a staple, taking place every day at 6 p.m. in the park.

The Stampede will also host six concerts this year, featuring performances by Flo Rida, Lee Brice, Skillet, Tyler Hubbard, Dustin Lynch, and Sam Hunt. The superstar A-plus concert package includes one ticket to all six concerts and is available for $120.

The Greeley Stampede promises to offer something for everyone this summer, with amenities including a water bottle refill station, a sunscreen station sponsored by U.S. Health, a first aid tent sponsored by Banner Health, and an air-conditioned relaxation station sponsored by American Furniture Warehouse.
