What started as a small yoga studio in a shared building downtown, has now turned into a multi-room yoga studio with over 4,000 square feet.

Balanced Movement is moving locations and is preparing for its grand reopening.

`A yoga studio in downtown Greeley is relocating and is just about ready to open its doors. Balanced Movement originally started in downtown Greeley next to the Moxi Theatre on 9th Ave.

The studio was in a shared building and only offered limited space. The original location is only about 1,000 square feet. The 9th Ave. studio location had only one room to teach, check-in and get ready in.

Owner and instructor, Heather Berry discussed her reasoning for the move.

“It’s been a great starter location. I can fit about 10 people, but after that it’s too close of quarters for anyone to enjoy it. The studio is growing, and I needed a larger location,” Berry said.

Balanced Movement will now be teaching in its new studio on 8th Ave. This studio will offer two different classrooms, one with heat technology for classes like hot yoga, and another studio that is ballroom-like. Balanced Movement will also be adding a reception area as well as an entire locker room. The studio will offer a variety of classes, and Berry ensures that there is something for every skill level.

“It makes me excited as a teacher. There’s so much to learn and so much to give to every person,” Berry said.

The studio is coming together quickly and is just about ready to open. The grand reopening of Balanced Movement will be on April 15th and 16th. The grand reopening will have free classes and multiple vendors. Although the grand opening is a few weeks away, the studio will be having a soft opening for classes on April 3rd.
