Keaten hopes to leave a legacy not of buildings or anything with his name on it, but one that inspires students to become better people, better communicators and better leaders.

With only a small selection of Japanese classes, is there a high interest from students who want to learn Japanese?

“What I want for every student here at UNC to understand is that we’re some of your biggest fans. We’re trying to support you. We’re going to keep you safe.” Carmichael said.

“It’s our spring tradition. We hide about 500 eggs all around the patio and inside, and we let about 10 hunters hunt at a time. It’s just a really fun time,” he said.
