The office of Global Engagement at the University of Northern Colorado hosted the annual Valentine’s Day cookie decorating last Monday in Wilson Hall.
This event aimed to get students to express love by decorating a cookie for their favorite person. Students had a variety of choices to decorate the cookies. There were sprinkles, pearls, heart-shaped figures, and red and pink frosting. The event demonstrated that love can be expressed in different forms and gestures.
“Valentine’s Day is a big part of the United States culture," said Julia Spellman, cross-cultural engagement graduate assistant. "It’s an international holiday, but a big thing for the states. Being able to come in and make a sweet treat, you can bring one for your friends, or just eat one yourself."
