Advancement Services provides the information infrastructure and services necessary to support all activities of the Division of University Advancement as well as assist campus-wide departments and organizations with information needs in accordance with university policies and directives.

The Advancement Services team meets these commitments by ensuring the integrity of gift and demographic data and by adhering to all relevant data entry standards while protecting fundamental rights to privacy and confidentiality. Advancement Services is committed to the ethical collection and use of information and follows all application laws as well as college policies governing the collection, use, maintenance and dissemination of information.

Annual Giving

UNC's Annual Giving team invites alumni and friends of the university to make philanthropic contributions to the area of campus that means the most to them. The Annual Giving team invites donations through mail, email, phone, and peer-to-peer outreach.

The university's Student Advancement Ambassadors are proud members of the Annual Giving team, and contact alumni and donors to engage them in the life of the university and thank them for their gifts.

• I lost or can't find my gift receipt and need another copy. How many I request this information?

  No problem. Please call 970-351-2551 or email gifts@unco.edu and a member of the Advancement Operations team will assist you.

• I have some questions before I submit a request for data. Who may I talk to?

  We're happy to answer any questions that you may have regarding the data request process. Please contact Director of Advancement Services Becky Griswold at rebecca.griswold@unco.edu.

• Our department is interested in conducting an alumni survey. How do we get started?

  Individuals seeking to survey UNC alumni should first review UNC’s institutional survey guidelines.

  Using alumni contact information managed University Advancement, the Office of Assessment and Accreditation conducts annual surveys of all recent UNC alumni.  Thus, existing datasets may inform your specific research or program evaluation questions. The Office of Assessment and Accreditation will work with individuals who wish to survey UNC alumni to ensure duplicate data are not being collected.

  Individuals wishing to survey UNC alumni or who have questions regarding UNC’s annual alumni survey or institutional survey guidelines should contact Ted Cain (ted.cain@unco.edu).
