International Student & Scholar Services
The mission of International Student & Scholar Services is to create a welcoming environment for international students & scholars by providing assistance with cultural adjustment, academic and professional growth, immigration services, and personal support. We support international students and scholars who attend UNC as well as UNC Faculty that work with these populations.
We support F-1 students and their F-2 dependents, and J-1 Exchange Visitor students and scholars, and their dependents.
We also provide information and assistance to campus partners who work with international students and scholars.
Student & Scholar Advising
International Student & Scholar Services is providing advising services remotely in most cases at this time. Appointments can be scheduled directly by the student or scholar and will sync with an advisor's availability.

Airport Transportation
We recommend flying to Denver International Airport (called DIA, locally, but which has an official designation as DEN), which is the nearest major airport and nearest international airport. UNC is just about an hour from DIA. The primary shuttle between DIA and Greeley is Landline, a national company which offers several round trips per day between DIA and Greeley in wifi enabled vans, and the drop off point is about 2 miles/3.2 km southwest of UNCs campus. Greeley-Evans Transportation (or GET) has a bus (route 5) that stops at the nearby Greeley Mall and goes to UNC's campus. Students ride free with their UNC ID.
There is bus service to Union Station with a changeover to rail or a second bus to the airport by Amtrak, and of course ride sharing services like Uber and Lyft are available. The Denver International Airport has updated lists of transportation providers on their website.
UNC Exchange Visitor J1 Program Survey
As you are preparing to complete your J-1 program at the University of Northern Colorado, we request that you complete a brief survey. Your answers and comments will assist us in our annual reporting to the U.S. Department of State on the value of the J-1 Exchange Visitor program as well to provide helpful comments on ways we can better serve future visiting scholars in the UNC community. Please access the survey here.
